Who dares, gins

Who dares, gins

Hello fellow gin lovers,

It’s been a turbulent few weeks in the world, something that is only just hitting home and the limitations on our freedom of movement are just starting to bite. As a cloud of uncertainty looms over the nation, we are all forced to reflect on the situation as individuals, teams, families and communities.

Here at Masons we are well trained to deal with adversity, having only newly reopened our distillery following a devastating fire last April. Something that disaster taught us all was we are only as good as our staff, loyal fans and customer base. Without support, care and dedication, we are nothing. So it's more important now than ever that we look after each other and be supportive.

At the moment, we are operating with skeleton staff at the distillery. All departments that can work from home are doing so, and we have embraced the brilliance of video calling. All of our staff check on one another daily and our company WhatsApp group has never seen so many positive messages flying back and forth. We are, of course, a team, but more importantly we are a family of people who have chosen to come together and unite for a common cause. And that's exactly what we will continue to do.

We are, as all businesses, monitoring the government advice and situation closely and reacting appropriately.

We recognise that many people are moving to shopping online, so we have made ordering as easy as possible on our website and lowered postage costs as much as possible. However, please be patient as the couriers are very stretched and we can’t operate sales from our distillery shop currently and our visitor centre is now closed for the foreseeable future.

We hope your all keeping well, exercising, looking after each other and sharing the love. We are all in this as a community, and we will get through it together.

Look forward to life returning to normal, and remember, who dares, gins.
